Not cool.

Ok avid readers(I know most of you don't really exist but lets pretend you do.) My younger sister recently got a promotional song off of the new good charlotte album. If it's anything to be judged the newest album is going to be worse then anything i've heard yet. I swear the song sounds like glorified rap. Atleast early on the band kept some smblance of rock. Now they're becoming more and more like a generic rap group. Which in my books isn't much better then what they are like right now. So theirs your warning. Don't listen to it, from what i can tell right now the new album is going to be worse then anything else they've done.

Papa Roach - The Paramour Sessions.

Wow. I got the new papa roach album a day or two after it came out. It's a very good album which further shows the bands prowess. It stays true to their heavier stylings from infest, as well as incorporating the newer more melodic style from Getting away from murder. The very first sound was alot like the first songs on their other albums. They just kinda draw you in and hold you there. If you buy the current disk you can get a special live version of the hit Scars of the net. To top it off the album is dedicated in memory of the lead singer's step father. Who the band was named for.

Arcade fire

Well today on the way into work i listened to an arcade fire album i got a few months ago but never really listened to. In a word it was excellent. Each song sounded very good and the music just kinda makes you feel good inside. There's a rather melowness to the tune at times which spikes into a full rock out session. I'd highly recommend you check out this indie band because they're that good.

The Decmberists - Picaresque

OK so time for the reviews.

I figured I'd start with a band called the Decemberists. They're pretty big on the indie scene right now. And for good reason. There music is excellent. If you've never heard them before then I'd advise going out and getting their latest album Picaresque. It's an all around great album. They blend excellent guitars, heart lifting drum work, and an almost folk sounding style. The Decmeberists have a sound you won't find often in other places. So I'd definitely get this album if you want to hear something different that you can definitely enjoy.
